As many of you know by now, I’ve been hanging out for months in what has basically become house-arrest down here in Sydney under COVID lockdown restrictions. Because of this, my desperation for finding things to keep me distracted from the never-ending cycle of working from home, schooling from home, cooking, sleep, repeat, is becoming increasingly strained. So, today I thought we might do something a bit different and try a Disney questionnaire that allows everyone to give quick answers to questions that might illuminate some interesting findings. You might prefer to only read my answers out of curiosity, but adding your own to the comments below would make this particularly interesting. I will add a blank version of the questions at the bottom so you can copy and paste them with ease.
The first attraction you must experience each time you return to the park is? Definitely Peter Pan or Dumbo at Disneyland Park.
What Disney Parks music do you hear in your head most often when back home? The Indiana Jones music from Disneyland plays in my head all the time, especially the part where you come out of the first corridor to reveal the large cave-like area.
If you had to say goodbye to one character in the parks, who would it be? The Mad Hatter, I know the character is a bit of a jokester, but I have too many photos of him walking through the middle.
You can only have one Table-Service meal on Disney property; what would it be? The Salmon dish that used to be at the Blue Bayou. I just love the atmosphere there. There is better food around, but nothing compares to dining inside a ride.
What is your shoe of choice for a long Disney day? Skechers or Nike Wearallday.
What is the most overrated snack in the parks? Turkey legs, I don’t think I will ever understand.
Which attraction has the most annoying soundtrack? I promised myself I wouldn’t say it’s a small world because I love the languages and the details. But, there is no undoing that brain damage when you’ve been stuck on that one for over 40 minutes.
You can move any attraction from any other location to your home park. What is it, and where is it going? I would love to have Expedition Everest in Disneyland somehow. I love that ride.
If you can only have one, would you choose Dole Whip or Churros? Dole Whip, but the real one from Dole Plantation on Oahu. Mmmhmmm…
What is the longest you have waited in line and what for? We were in the queue for Toy Story at Hollywood Studios for almost 3 hours even though the wait time on the sign stayed firmly at 45 minutes.
You’ve got three Fast Passes — so retro — what are they for? All in one park, they would have to be Incredicoaster, Mission Breakout, and Radiator Springs Racers in California Adventure.
Name the single best Disney park anywhere in the world: Disneyland Park.
Remove one country from Epcot’s World Showcase: This one is tricky because I love them all. If pushed, I am going to say the UK because it is most similar to what I know as an Australian with English heritage.
Now replace it with a new one: This has to be Australia. Lamingtons, meat pies, ANZAC biscuits. As much as I am sick of my own country right now, it would be cool to see pieces of our culture mixed into World Showcase.
Pick an attraction and retheme it: I’d love to take an attraction and give it a villains makeover, maybe an experience like It’s Tough to Be a Bug! turned into a 3D Villains experience.
What is your favorite Disney show (i.e., Beauty and the Beast, Nemo the Musical, Lion King, etc.) The Festival of the Lion King is incredible; I love this show.
Describe your perfect weather scenario for a day at Disney: Overcast, cool, and comfortable sweater weather.
Matching outfits; yes or no? Cute on other people but not for me in the park. All in on Christmas PJs, though!
Do you prefer early mornings or late nights? Both, but always in early no matter what time we leave.
What Resort do you usually stay in? Port Orleans Riverside or The Swan.
What Resort do you wish you were staying in? I really want to spend some time in the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian.
Name your favorite Disney Souvenir: Ornaments and Ears!
Choose between Pins or Ears: EARS!
Disney is building a new land in the park of your choice; choose the theme for it: Although some of you might be thinking I would be all in for a Villains Land, I really would like to see an island-themed area where all of our favorite ocean stories like Moana, Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, etc. come to life.
Name one thing you’ve never done at Disney: I’ve never been on Tom Sawyer Island.
Now it’s your turn!
