Well, this has CERTAINLY been a day FULL of 50th Anniversary snacks.

There are so many new things to check out!

We hope you’ve got a sweet tooth because there are SO. MANY. TREATS. to try out as a part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations today. We’ve already tried an ice cream sundae themed after the new show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, some strange new churros, and a sandwich with an entire skewer of bacon on top; and now we’re headed to Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom for more!

Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom is well known for the iconic Warm Cinnamon Roll, but that’s not our focus today. This time, we’re trying out the 50th Anniversary Mickey Mouse Dome Cake!

Mickey Mouse Dome Cake

This celebratory treat is a spiced chocolate dome cake filled with creme brûlée, topped with chocolate-glaze, Mickey Ears, and the 50th castle logo.

Check it out!

It is a very pretty treat. That 50th castle logo makes it look extra classy!

The chocolate in this treat was very rich, and there was a hint of some autumnal spice in it as well. It tasted like there was a bit of cinnamon or maybe nutmeg in the chocolate, and we wished that spice were stronger. The creme brûlée flavor was unfortunately lost in all the decadent chocolate.

Here’s a look inside

If you’re a major chocolate lover, this is a great option for ya! You can try out the Mickey Mouse Dome Cake for yourself at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom for $7.99. Stay tuned to DFB for a LOT more treat reviews as we explore Disney World’s 50th celebration!
