REVIEW: One Disney World Hotel Got THREE 50th Anniversary Snacks

You can find a lot of new 50th Anniversary-themed treats in the Disney World parks.

How fancy!

But if you head out to the Disney World resorts, you’ll find even MORE new snacks and treats. We’re going to one hotel that got not one, not two, but THREE new menu items in celebration of Disney World’s 50th.

To find this wealth of new 50th snacks, head to the Landscape of Flavors food court at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

Landscape of Flavors

If you’re not staying at this hotel, you should be able to get there by taking the Disney Skyliner to the hub station at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and hopping on the line that goes to the Art of Animation and Pop Century hotels.

Once there, you can check out all the new menu items. First up, there’s a 50th Anniversary Dessert, which is Raspberry Cheesecake with a Rose Gold Champagne-infused Glaze, all on top of an Almond Cookie. This dessert is gluten friendly.

50th Anniversary Dessert

This cheesecake is fluffier than a typical cheesecake, and the raspberry flavoring gives it a nice tanginess. The gold topping is a thin gelatin icing and we didn’t really taste the champagne in the glaze. The sprinkles are a nice touch and give it a little bit of a crunch.

50th Anniversary Dessert

The consistency of this cheesecake was really nice and it had that classic cheesecake flavor. We really loved the raspberry tanginess, but we didn’t get a whole lot of flavor from the almond cookie. Cheesecake lovers would be happy with the taste but might not enjoy the texture as much as a typical cheesecake. You can get this treat for $5.99.

50th Anniversary Dessert

If you want a lighter treat, you can also try the 50th Anniversary Celebration Macaron, which is Blueberry Ganache with Lemon Gel and a Castle Print! The Castle Print comes on one side of the macaron, and it can appear on either the blue or purple side.

50th Anniversary Celebration Macaron

The Celebration Macaron is really nicely textured. It has a subtle lemon flavor, and we kind of wish it was less subtle! Our biggest issue with this treat was the cost, at $4.49 for a single, small macaron is kind of a lot. There’s an entire sharable Blondie in Hollywood Studios for this price right now.

With all the sugary treats coming to the parks, we’re always grateful to find a new savory snack! Here, you can get Walt Disney’s Favorite Chili in a Bread Boule, which is hearty mean-and-bean chili inspired by Walt Disney’s favorite chili. It’s served in a bread boule and topped with cheddar cheese. Y’all, this wasn’t…good.

Walt’s Favorite Chili

The chili is very bland chili and the texture is not great — it was somehow dry. The texture of the beans is okay, but the rest of the chili is not. There’s only a little bit of spice, but at least the green peppers have a nice flavor. The cheese is probably the best part but there was only about three bites total of cheddar cheese. The bread is a fluffy sourdough bread that was really good. We want to eat the bread on its own!

It looks like it could be good but…

It may have simply been an under-seasoned batch. But we weren’t the biggest fans. You can get the savory snack for $9.99, and bread and cheese people could possibly enjoy this, but chili people might be deeply offended.

That’s all from Art of Animation today! Keep following DFB as we try all the new snacks and treats around Disney World!
