It’s officially time for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!!!

Cinderella Castle

Yep, it’s almost the first FULL week that we get to celebrate Disney World’s 50th! If you’re traveling for some anniversary fun next week, you’re probably getting ready to get packing. We want to help! So, here’s the FULL weather forecast for next week in Disney World!

Weather Forecast

According to The Weather Channel, this week is going to bring us some still-warm days and some STORMS later in the week. Aw, man! We were spoiled with a pretty dry week last week!

EPCOT

Let’s take a look at the day-to-day forecast and then some tips for how to pack and prep for your trip!

October 4th

Monday, October 4th will start the week with temperatures that are pretty close to what we’ve been seeing. Yep, the cooler temperatures are sticking around! It’s gonna be warm, but not nearly as hot as it was a few weeks ago.

Look how comfortable that low is! Keep an eye on that humidity. 83% might be a lot higher than you’re used to depending on where you’re from! Monday, expect an 87 degree high and a 71 degree low.

October 5th

The next day, October 5th brings us a similar forecast with a high of 89 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at a comfortable 72 degrees.

The early part of the week has a lower rain chance, but don’t rule rain out completely! Florida is prone to sudden changes in weather and a surprising shower could be a part of that.

October 6th

On Wednesday, October 6th, we’re going to see temps sit in about the same place again. So, we’ll be seeing high-80s heat at the hottest part of the day. Your low is gonna hang out at 72 degrees.

And Wednesday brings us our first notable chance of storms. Remember to ride those outdoor must-dos (Test Track, Slinky Dog Dash, etc) earlier in the day just in case lightning closes them in the afternoon.

October 7th

For Thursday, October 7th, we’re seeing a day with another consistent prediction of temperatures in the high-80s and a comfy but wet evening at 72 degrees.

One characteristic of fall in Florida is a drastic shift in temperatures from hot during the day to comfortable or cool during the evening. The trick to handling temperature changes? Layers! Bring extra layers that you can toss on if you happen to feel a little chilly. You might be surprised how cool 72 degrees feels!

October 8th

The week continues with similar temperatures in the day and in the nighttime on October 8th. You’ll notice that high is dropping into the mid-80s.

Even with the rain, UV rays stay relatively high. That means it’s important to wear sunscreen! Even if you don’t burn easily, those rays can be harmful to your skin.

October 9th

Saturday, October 9th brings us the coolest temperatures of the whole week! Wow! The low 80s? It really is fall in Florida!

That means you’ve GOT to wear that sunscreen! Here, we’ll see an 83-degree high and a 69-degree low.

October 10th

And we’ll wrap up our week on October 10th with still warm temperatures and a beautiful day of mixed sunshine and clouds. No more rain for the week hopefully!

Days are inching shorter here in Florida, but you’ll still have PLENTY of daylight to enjoy the theme parks. Next week, expect sunrise around 7:20AM and sunset around 7:00PM.

Overview of the Week

Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week again. We’re looking at a range of 80s highs and 60s to 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!

So, what are our best tips for packing when it comes to this week’s forecast?

Get ready for storms!

Welp, the rain is back. Last week spoiled us with sunny skies and dry afternoons, but it looks like we can’t quite say goodbye to the rainy season! The latter half of this week is bringing us some rain, and you’re going to want to put some effort in to stay dry.

Rainy EPCOT

Make sure you pack a rain layer in your luggage and bring it with you to the parks each day — even if there isn’t rain in the forecast! Rain can crop up anytime in central Florida and you’ll want a poncho or jacket if a downpour starts! Oh, and that layer can be helpful on Splash Mountain too. 😉

Get ready for heat!

Sure, Orlando has cooled down a little bit from those BLAZING summer temperatures, but it’s still pretty HOT in the middle of the day. You don’t want to be unprepared for the sun and the high temperatures; that’s a recipe for getting sick!

EPCOT Light Collection

To make sure you’re staying comfortable, keep yourself hydrated and make sure to take breaks as you need. Your body might not be used to walking miles in the hot sun, so head for AC if you start to feel tired. Plus, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! Even if you don’t burn, those Florida UV levels are not good for your skin!
