Remember that time we ate about a million new treats on Disney World’s 50th Anniversary?

We ate some truly delicious snacks on October 1st, but there were plenty that didn’t make our favorites list as well. In case you don’t have time to go through all our reviews and photos from that glorious day, we ranked ALL the 50th Anniversary treats, drinks, and snacks we tried in the Magic Kingdom. 

Without any further ado, we present to you our definitive ranking of all the 50th Anniversary eats and drinks in the Magic Kingdom, starting at the bottom. Enjoy!

38. Squid’s Revenge Drink — Be Our Guest

The Squid’s Revenge is part of the new items on the Be Our Guest menu, which are all themed after the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction that operated in Magic Kingdom from 1971 through 1994. This drink has Michelada with a Salted Rim, garnished with Charred Octopus and Cucumber.

The drink itself was okay if you like tomato juice, but that charred octopus? Not a win. The octopus was cold and chewy and barely edible, in our opinion. But if you’re brave enough to test it out yourself, it’s $13 at Be Our Guest now.

37. Captain Nemo Octopus — Be Our Guest

Yikes…Be Our Guest really missed the assignment when it came to the new themed items. The Captain Nemo Octopus is a Seaweed Salad appetizer with Cucumber, Pickled Beets, Hearts of Palm, Tapioca Crackers, Beets Mousse, and Carrot-Ginger Silk.

We thought the flavors and textures in general were pretty strange. You have to be a MAJOR seafood fan to enjoy the intense flavors here. This appetizer is part of the prix fixe menu that’s now at Be Our Guest, which costs $62 for adults for lunch or dinner.

36. Dumbo Churros — Storybook Circus Pretzel and Churro Cart

The Dumbo Churros are rolled in peanut dust and served in a Dumbo-themed bag, with a side of chocolate dipping sauce. Sounds like an OK treat, right?

Unfortunately, we thought the churros were stale and lacking in flavor. The peanut taste was very subtle, and we didn’t really get it until way after we took a bite. The churros were also dry, which is fine because there was plenty of chocolate sauce. But since we’ve tried Disneyland’s churros, we were just so disappointed by these ones that we had to put it far down the list. If you want to give them a try, it’s $7 for two churros.

35. Bear Tracks Slush — Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

The Bear Tracks Slush is a Barq’s Root Beer and Vanilla Slush topped with Whipped Cream, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter Pieces. It doesn’t sound bad when you say it like that…but this drink was one of the worst things we tried.

It didn’t really taste like Root Beer at all! And it left a very strange aftertaste in our mouths that was very strong and oddly fruity. We won’t be returning for this drink anytime soon. If you don’t believe us, you can try it yourself for $5.99.

34. Fifi Gigi Mimi — Aloha Isle

The Fifi Gigi Mimi treat is Pineapple, Vanilla, and Orange bundt cakes stacked on top of each other and filled with DOLE Whip pineapple. One of the reasons this treat is so far down the list is because we had high expectations — cake filled with DOLE Whip? Um, Yes!!

In actuality, the cake flavors were really flat — we could barely tell they were different flavors at all. And you don’t get much of the DOLE Whip inside either. Since the treat is $11.99, we were expecting more.

33. EARidescent Nugget Churros — Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

You can probably tell by now that Disney World churro trend going on here. The EARidescent Nugget Churros were no exception.

These are pretty much the same mini churros that you can always get at Pecos Bill, and the EARidescent sugar on them just looked like normal sugar to us. In general, they’re an OK snack, but nothing to write home about at all. You can get these churro nugs for $5.89.

32. Wendell’s Bear Claw — Westward Ho

We actually loved the Wendell’s Bear Claw originally, but as we looked at it compared to all the other treats, we realized it wouldn’t be super high on our list to get again.

Although it was simple and delicious (can you go wrong with a Traditional Bear Claw pastry dipped in Chocolate Sauce and sprinkled with Hazelnuts?), ours was a little bit stale, and we found some more interesting treats later on. But if you want something light and tasty, you can get the bear claw for $5.99.

31. Burger to the Moon — Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

Disney has mixed results with their fake meat — AKA Impossible meat. This next item was one of the not-so-great ones. The Burger to the Moon is an Impossible Burger with Guacamole, Tomato and Cabbage Slaw, served with French Fries.

The burger itself was pretty tasteless, and the top bun was actually covered in flour (that’s what makes it a moon burger apparently?). It definitely needed more salt or seasoning. But if you want to give it a try, it’s $11.49 at Cosmic Ray’s. We think it made it higher up this list because we were hypnotized by Sonny Eclipse’s amazing singing.

30. Banana Boom — Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

The Banana Boom is basically a normal banana split with pop rocks on top. It has vanilla ice cream with pineapple, strawberry ice cream with strawberries, and chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce. On top of that, you’ll find lots of whipped cream, a whole banana cut in half, chocolate “fireworks,” and popping candy.

We thought the sundae was very tasty if you like ice cream, but it’s just a normal banana split. Ours had very few pop rocks on top, so we didn’t get much of the “boom” in our treat. You can try it yourself for $12.99.

29. Pineapple-Coconut Glazed Popcorn — Adventureland Popcorn Cart

We were really excited about this snack — who doesn’t want pineapple-flavored popcorn? Unfortunately, the Pineapple-Coconut Glazed Popcorn didn’t hit the mark for us.

The popcorn tasted sweet, but we didn’t really get those pineapple or coconut flavors. It seems the pineapple-coconut glaze just provided an extra touch of sweetness to the popcorn, but not any of those signature tropical flavors. You can try it for $6.25 if you want to give it a go.

28. I Cannot Tell a Lie Milkshake — Liberty Tree Tavern

The I Can Not Tell a Lie Milkshake, which is a Vanilla and Cherry Shake garnished with a Brown Sugar-Graham Cracker Rim, is available for $11. The shake itself was nice and VERY filling, but the graham cracker rim was a bit disappointing.

It was basically soggy crumbs on the rim of our drink…which was gross. That brought it down on the list, but in general, it was a tasty milkshake that would definitely be a filling snack in the parks!

27. Doom Berry Drink — Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

The Doom Berry Drink is a non-alcoholic drink made with Blackberry Ginger Beer with EARidescence Sugar, and it’s meant to be served with a Haunted Mansion straw (They hadn’t arrived yet when we tried this drink.).

We were disappointed in the drink’s appearance since we were promised a much more glittery treat. But the taste was fine if you like ginger beer! The blackberry flavor didn’t come through for us, which was also a disappointment. So in general it was a good drink but not enough to wow us. It’s $4.99 at Sleepy Hollow.

26. The Wild Ride — Friar’s Nook 

Friar’s Nook had a few 50th Anniversary items that were all themed after the Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride attraction that was in Disney World on opening day (but has since been replaced by the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh). One of them is a slushy called the Wild Ride.

The drink is a frozen sour apple, blue raspberry, and apple slushy topped with a black licorice wheel, which reminds us of the wheels on the ride vehicles of Mr. Toad’s attraction! In general, this drink was good, flavorful, and cold (which is always a good thing on a hot Florida day). It wasn’t anything amazing, and it had a little too much whipped cream for us, but the theming and appearance brought it up in our books. You can grab one for $5.99.

25. Cheers to 50 Years Sundae — Plaza Restaurant

The Cheers to 50 Years Sundae comes with both Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream, Brownies, Cupcakes, Cookie Crumbles, Pretzel Rods, and Hot Fudge topped with Whipped Cream, EARidescent Sugar, and a Mickey Pretzel drizzled with Caramel and Chocolate Icing. Yeah — it’s big.

The sundae is enough to feed four hungry people, and it definitely looks impressive. But the flavors were pretty basic (you can’t switch out the ice cream flavors), and the pretzel didn’t really seem to go with the rest of it in terms of texture or flavor. If you do buy this monstrosity for $32, you’ll get a lot of food out of it and a great Instagram picture, but not a whole lot of exciting or unique flavor.

24. Sparkling Sunshine — Sunshine Tree Terrace

The Sparkling Sunshine drink is Sparkling Apple Cider with Orange Cream Soft Serve and an EARidescent Sugar rim. The soft serve ice cream is the same as most DOLE Whips, so of course, we loved that part.

Unfortunately our EARidescent sugar rim was basically non-existent. In addition, there was very little sparkling apple cider. So essentially what we had was DOLE Whip in a champagne glass. Is that a bad thing? Not really. But were we expecting something more? For sure. If you’re in a fancy mood, you can get a champagne glass DOLE Whip for $6.99.

23. Pennsylvania Pot Roast — Liberty Tree Tavern

Pennsylvania Pot Roast, which features a Pot Roast with Mushrooms, Pearl Onions, and Carrot in a rich Gravy, is included with the All You Care To Eat price at this restaurant (it’s $39 per adult and $21 per child).

Overall this pot roast was pretty fatty, although that contributed to the good flavor. It’s a VERY filling meal, so only order this if you’re pretty hungry! We thought it was pretty good, but not one of the top things we ate on the 50th.

22. Showtime With Jose — Aloha Isle

Showtime With Jose is a Mango and Vanilla swirled soft-serve Pineapple float, garnished with a blue feather.

The mango flavor in this treat was milder than we were expecting, and we would’ve liked more kick from it. We thought it was pretty tasty and refreshing, but we definitely wouldn’t choose this over the Tropical Serenade, which is also available at Aloha Isle. You can get Showtime With Jose for $6.99.

21. Mission to Mars Burger — Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe

One of the new Cosmic Ray’s burgers was NOT a win for us, but the next one sounded like it couldn’t possibly lose. The Mission to Mars Burger is a burger topped with Bacon and Macaroni & Cheese served on a bun dusted with Crushed Cheese-flavored Puffs and served with French Fries.

The burger was a little dry (like most of the ones at Cosmic Ray’s), but the mac ‘n’ cheese was creamy and gooey! And we’re never gonna be mad about Cheeto dust on top of our food. You can try this creation for $12.99.

20. Nautilus — Be Our Guest

We’re back at Be Our Guest with all their 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea items. The Nautilus is a non-alcoholic drink, made with Blue Raspberry Slushy and Swedish Fish, with a special themed Glow Cube.

The drink was cute, tasty, and pretty much what we expected. The blue raspberry flavor was strong, and we thought the glow cube was super cute. It was $15, which is a little pricey for what we got in our opinion.

19. Royal 50th Churro — Frontierland Churro Cart

Disney World churros have a reputation of being dull and dry, especially when you compare them to their Disneyland counterparts. But the Royal 50th Churros were surprisingly good! They’re rolled in strawberry sugar, drizzled with marshmallow cream, and topped with shimmer sprinkles. They’re served with a side of chocolate dipping sauce for the finishing touch.

As you can imagine, this treat is VERY sweet. Did we really need the chocolate sauce on the side? Probably not. But we did still eat it. The flavor combinations were really tasty, and the churros are just so pretty! Ideal for a Cinderella Castle photo shoot. You can get two royal churros for $7.

18. Tavern Punch — Liberty Tree Tavern

Tavern Punch is basically a Frozen Dole Whip Lemon with Sprite. The drink was really tasty, and the tartness and sweetness balanced each other out perfectly in our opinion.

Our only gripe with this treat was that it’s $11. When you compare that to the $4.99 frozen lemonade that you can get at the nearby Liberty Square Market, we’re not sure the price is really worth it.

17. Pecos Bill Widowmaker Sandwich — Golden Oak Outpost

This snack is confusing, which lost it some points in our ranking. It’s called the Pecos Bill Widowmaker Sandwich, and you can find it — not at Pecos Bill — but at Golden Oak Outpost. What? The sandwich is a spicy fried chicken sandwich with maple mustard slaw, topped with a whole bacon skewer.

Once we got past the whole “Pecos Bill” thing, it was a really good sandwich! The chicken had a decent kick to it, and we enjoyed the slaw despite the fact that we didn’t taste much maple flavor in it. Honestly, if you add a bacon skewer to any snack, we’ll probably like it. 16. Mickey Mouse Dome Cake — Gaston’s Tavern

The Mickey Mouse Dome Cake got extra points for not turning our mouths weird colors like most of the new treats were doing. It’s a spiced chocolate dome cake filled with creme brûlée, topped with chocolate-glaze, Mickey Ears, and the 50th castle logo.

The textures were smooth and creamy, and we sensed an autumnal flavor coming from the chocolate, which was really tasty! Unfortunately, the creme brûlée flavor was a little lost in all the chocolate, which is why this treat isn’t higher on our list. But overall it’s a delicious treat, perfect for chocolate lovers. 15. Heigh-Ho Sundae — Storybook Treats

Speaking of good treats for chocolate lovers, we also enjoyed the Heigh-Ho Sundae, which is chocolate soft-serve, hot fudge, graham cracker pieces, chocolate gems, and whipped cream. 

This treat is very simple — basically a normal sundae — but it’s done well. If you want a cold chocolate dessert for your park day, you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s not a unique or wow-y treat, but it’s also not bad! The Heigh-Ho Sundae is $6.99.

14. 50th Celebration Spring Rolls — Spring Roll Wagon

Spring Rolls from the Spring Roll Wagon are some of our favorite Magic Kingdom snacks. The 50th Celebration Spring Rolls are a new flavor, and they have Pastrami and Pepper Jack Cheese inside, served with a Mustard Dipping Sauce.

We loved getting a savory snack amidst all the very sweet treats, which no doubt helped push this up the ranking. The pastrami flavor was very strong, and the rolls didn’t even really need the dipping sauce (although the sauce was very tasty). You can get two rolls and the sauce for $9.50.

13. Adventureland Colada — Skipper Canteen

The Adventureland Colada is made of a blend of Dole Whip Pineapple with Coconut Cream and Passion Fruit. The drink is also garnished with a slice of pineapple. If you like piña coladas (and getting caught in the rain) we think you’ll really enjoy this drink!

It’s non-alcoholic, and you’ll want to stir it a little when you get it to mix in the passion fruit flavor. We thought it was refreshing and delicious, although it’s heavier on the coconut than on the pineapple flavor. You can grab one for $9.

12. 50th Celebration Hot Dog — Casey’s Corner

This one was a surprise pick for us. We were a little nervous when we heard about a funnel cake-topped hot dog…but boy were we wrong. The 50th Celebration Hot Dog is an All Beef Hot Dog topped with Strawberry Bacon Jam, Crisp Funnel Cake Pieces, and Powdered Sugar.

The savory and sweet flavors actually worked really well together, and we could’ve done with even more funnel cake pieces on top. The flavors were interesting, it’s not something you’ll find much outside the parks, and we thought it tasted really good! We recommend trying one out, and you can get it for $11.99.

11. Ned Land Sea Cake — Be Our Guest

The Ned Land Sea Cake was one of the only things from Be Our Guest’s new menu items that we enjoyed. This dessert is Lemon and Strawberry Shell Cake, Pistachio Microwave Cake, Chocolate Rocks, Grey Stuff, and Swedish Fish.

The shell cakes were light and moist Madelines, and we always like a few bites of the grey stuff — it’s delicious! All the different flavors and textures were interesting together, and the theming was really well done. So if you have to try a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea-themed thing from Be Our Guest, choose this one.

10. Mr. Toad Dome Cake — Friar’s Nook

We’re back at Friar’s Nook to see the Mr. Toad Dome Cake, which is a peanut cake with chocolate-peanut butter mousse and salted caramel on top. Sounds pretty amazing, right?

The cake was really tasty, with smooth textures plus a little bit of crunch from the nuts in the cake. The only thing we didn’t like was the gelatin coating on top (the red-and yellow-colored stuff). But overall it was a yummy treat with an adorable theme which means it’s a win for us. This treat was $7.99.

9. Happy Haunts Milkshake — Columbia Harbour House

The Happy Haunts Milkshake is a yummy shake with a Haunted Mansion theme. It’s a blackberry milkshake topped with a purple chocolate-glazed doughnut covered in black sprinkles.

The blackberry flavor came through strongly in this shake, although we thought the texture was more like a smoothie than a milkshake. The real star? Definitely the doughnut on top. It was moist and chocolate-y and SO good. Even one of our friends who doesn’t like doughnuts admitted that it was delicious. You can get this treat combo for $7.99, which isn’t bad for two treats in one.

8. Toad Burger — Friar’s Nook

The winner for the Mr. Toad-themed items at Friar’s Nook was the Toad Burger. Just look at this guy — how could he not win?

It’s a brat burger served on a bun with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and American cheese. On the side, you’ll get some tater tots as well. The burger was very delicious, and we like that it was a brat instead of just a normal burger. We liked this burger more than most of the average Disney World burgers, and the theming is just too good to pass up. It’s $12.99 now!

7. Jumbo’s Surprise — Storybook Circus Pretzel and Churro Cart

The Dumbo churros at this snack spot weren’t high on our list, but we LOVED the Jumbo’s Surprise popcorn. This snack is a blend of caramel popcorn and Twix candy pieces with a hidden chocolate feather!

It was pretty simple, but all the components were delicious by themselves and made even better when we ate them together. The treat is $6.75.

6. Spoon for One More Chowder — Columbia Harbour House

The Spoon for One More is another Haunted Mansion-themed snack. It’s a black sourdough bread bowl with New England clam chowder.

The New England clam chowder was really good and flavorful, and the bread bowl just made it better. It also made it more filling, and we appreciated that it was a heftier meal. In case you’re worried about the color, we didn’t think the black food coloring affected the taste of the bread at all. This would be the perfect comfort food for a chillier day. It’s $7.49 now.

5. Snow White Cone — Storybook Treats

One very simple treat stole our hearts in the Magic Kingdom. The Snow White Cone is a blue cone filled with DOLE Whip lemon and topped with a chocolate bird and sugar bow. So it’s essentially a dressed-up DOLE Whip cone.

BUT it’s really cute (we love the subtle Disney princess theming), and the lemon DOLE Whip flavor is one of our favorites. Sometimes the best things are also the simplest! This treat is $6.49.

4. Pressed Penny Silk Pie — Casey’s Corner

Back at Casey’s Corner, the Pressed Penny Silk Pie was one of our top treats. It’s a Chocolate Tart Shell and a Silky Chocolate Filling, topped with Sweet Whipped Cream and a Chocolate-Pressed Penny.

The treat was very chocolate-y and rich, so you have to be a chocolate-lover to enjoy this one! But the flavors were delicious, and we loved the silky texture. This win costs $6.49.

3. Uncle Orville’s Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Sundae — Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies

The Uncle Orville Sundae is chocolate and vanilla soft-serve, brownie pieces, hot fudge, and whipped cream topped with red, white, and blue sprinkles served in a “bathtub.” It was a fairly standard brownie sundae, but we preferred it to the huge sundae at Plaza Restaurant.

One reason is the theming: we loved the nods to a classic Disney World attraction! And all the parts of this sundae were delicious. It’s shareable as well, but not gigantic. If you want a big dessert that’s gonna put a smile on your face, we highly recommend Uncle Orville’s bathtub (not a sentence we thought we’d ever say). It’s $16.99.

2. Monte Cristo — Plaza Restaurant

The Monte Cristo here has Deep-fried Funnel Cake Batter, Bacon, Roasted Turkey, and Provolone sprinkled with EARidescent and Powdered Sugar served with a side of Strawberry Jam. It was cheesy, filling, and very delicious.

We’ve had good Monte Cristos over in Disneyland, and we’re very happy to see this tasty friend arrive in Disney World. The sandwich was fried beautifully, and all the flavors worked really well together. We highly recommend getting this sandwich, which is available with a side of fries for $18.

1. Tropical Serenade — Aloha Isle

This is it, folks. Our number ONE 50th Anniversary treat from the Magic Kingdom. It’s the perfectly simple Tropical Serenade, available at Aloha Isle. This treat is made of the famous POG juice (passion fruit, orange, and guava juice) with coconut soft serve, topped with a pineapple upside-down cake pop.

Basically, Disney took two of our favorite things — coconut soft serve and POG juice — and combined them into one beautifully delicious treat. The coconut and fruit flavors together made this *chef’s kiss* absolutely wonderful. You absolutely should go grab one for $6.99 today. Like, right now.
