It’s time for another round of what’s new at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

During our more recent trips into the park, we spotted some new merchandise and spent a lot of time experimenting with the new Disney Genie service! Let’s take a virtual trip through the park to see the latest updates.
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates
The Dark Room
In The Dark Room we found some new hats that are ready to take you into the winter season. There was a purple ombré beanie with a sullen-looking Mickey and the phrase, “The one & only.” Both hats are priced at $19.99.

And we can’t forget about this gray hat with pom pom ears and a pearl bow for $24.99.

In the Dark Room, we also found a Partner’s Statue beanie in a bright blue color.

These hats would be great for a visit to Disney World during those chillier days that can sometimes sneak up on you!
Legends of Hollywood
There was a new Goofy T-Shirt for $36.99 in Legends of Hollywood. The front shows Goofy up to his familiar antics…

…and the back of the shirt says, “The underdog always comes out on top.”

If you’re a big fan of Goofy or love cheering for the underdog (we get the pun there, since Goofy IS a dog), you can pick up this shirt!
Tatooine Traders
We spotted some new-to-us Star Wars shirts in Tatooine Traders. This long sleeve top says “Rebels, Droids, Sith Lords & Jedi Masters.”

Hollywood Studios Miscellaneous Updates
On the first day of the launch of the Disney Genie service, we purchased an Individual Attraction Selection (IAS or pay-per-ride) for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. IAS is basically a pay-per-ride offering for the most popular, in-demand rides in Disney World. We learned quickly, however, what happens if a pay-per-ride breaks down. In fact, Rise closed down THREE times during our visit.
Rise is back down
We received an “experience redemption” pass when the ride broke down, which granted us Lightning Lane access to Rise (redeemable once) for the rest of the day.
Worth it
Keep in mind that you can’t cancel your pay-per-ride selections when you buy them, so that’s an important factor to consider when thinking about purchasing one of these.
