PHOTOS: Are YOU Able to Trick-or-Treat at a SECRET Disney World Spot?

There are great Halloween-themed snacks, merchandise, and more that you can find inside the Disney World theme parks.

Time for Some Halloween Fun!

You can even go trick-or-treating during Disney World’s NEW After Hours BOO Bash event. But, what if you don’t have a park ticket or BOO Bash ticket? And what if you still want to go trick-or-treating with a special Disney twist? Well, select guests can do all of that at one special place. We’ll let you in on a little secret!

You may have stayed at Disney World’s resort hotels many times in the past, but if you’ve spent your entire trip in the parks, you might have totally missed out on the special activities these hotels sometimes host for hotel guests! All throughout the year, you can find special activities at the hotels, including various crafts, movie nights, and more. But, these activities get extra fun around holidays.

Spooky Decorations!

In the past, we’ve seen some hotels host spooky scavenger hunts and more in celebration of Halloween. But, for an extra fun Halloween experience, you’ll want to stay at one totally underrated spot — Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground!

Guest Halloween Decorations at Fort Wilderness

There are a whole bunch of reasons why Fort Wilderness is the perfect hidden spot to celebrate spooky season. For starters, it’s in the wilderness (kind-of), making it the perfect setting for all things SpoOoOoOky! Also, guests at Fort Wilderness go ALL OUT with their Halloween decorations.

Just Look at These Decorations!

We’re talking lights, blow-up figures, and so much more.

And last, but certainly not least, the hotel is hosting TONS of awesome Halloween activities this week!

Halloween Activities!

Starting October 28th through October 31st, there’s a Poisoned Apple Geocaching Challenge. On October 28th, hotel guests can enjoy the Hallo-Glow Pool Party.

So Much to Do!

This week, there will also be a Halloween Golf Cart Extravaganza, a pumpkin decorating contest, a Halloween beach bash, and a Halloween pet parade!

But, of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without…CANDY! That’s right, guests can go trick-or-treating (or camp-or-treating) around Fort Wilderness on Halloween night from 6PM to 9PM.

Note that this activity is exclusively for guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s sign indicates that pre-registration and sign-ups are located at the Bike Barn.

More Halloween Fun

Other activities may also require pre-registration or site sign-ups, so be sure to check on that.

Last year, Fort Wilderness went into a Phase 2 closure on Halloween, meaning that nobody except Fort Wilderness Resort guests could even access to the resort all day on October 31st. Disney has not yet noted whether this will again be the case this year, but it’s something you’ll want to keep an eye out for if you were planning on stopping by the resort for other reserved activities or something else.

If you are staying at or stopping by Fort Wilderness this week, be sure to also check out the Food Truck Round-Up being offered through October 31st.

That’s where we found an EPIC pizza in a CONE!

Just look at that cheese pull

Not planning on staying at Fort Wilderness around Halloween time? Be sure to check and see if the Disney World hotel you’re staying at will be hosting any special activities on that spooktacular night.

Many (if not most) of these activities are totally free for guests of the hotel to participate in, and it could be a great way to celebrate the holiday outside of the parks. Many resorts also have special Halloween snack or drink offerings available to purchase for a limited time.

Spooktacular!

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates all around Disney World and we’ll let you know what we see. Happy (early) Halloween!

How will you be celebrating Halloween this year? Tell us in the comments!
