The holiday stars are up in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and lights have started to be installed in Living With the Land. That can only mean one thing…

…it’s peppermint season!! That’s right folks. Pumpkin is on its way out, and peppermint, hot cocoa, and all things wintery, warm, and cozy are in. Don’t believe us? Well, we’ve got the holiday drinks to prove it!

Earlier today, we stopped by Isle of Java in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and spotted the sign holiday fans have been waiting for…holiday drinks have returned! It loos like 4 limited time, wintertime offerings have returned to Disney World — the Irish Coffee, Peppermint Hot Cocoa, S’Mores Hot Cocoa, and Sea Salt Caramel Hot Cocoa. These aren’t new, but it’s still exciting to see that they’ve returned for the holiday season.

We just had to try a few today! We’ll start with the Peppermint Hot Cocoa. The drink features hot cocoa with peppermint flavors, and is topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips. It is served hot, which might not be ideal for a warm Florida day, but it’ll be nice during those cooler nights and days in the winter.

The drink itself is very sweet and has a subtle peppermint flavor. Our DFB reporter who tried the drink isn’t a huge fan of peppermint, but they still enjoyed this drink and felt like it had a nice balance in terms of flavors. The peppermint wasn’t overpowering and didn’t taste like toothpaste, so that was good! The chocolate flavors also came through, which was very nice.

Overall, the drink is very sweet, but in an enjoyable way. Our only real complaint is that the drink didn’t look like the photo at all! The whipped cream (at least when we got it) didn’t really come to a peak. It looked as though it had melted into the drink almost instantly. That might have taken away from the Instagrammable quality of the drink, but it didn’t take away anything in terms of flavor.

If you like hot drinks and that peppermint flavor, we have a feeling you’ll enjoy this. If you like drinks with coffee or ones that aren’t quite as sweet though, you’ll want to look elsewhere. You can grab this drink right now for $3.99.

Next, we grabbed the S’Mores Hot Cocoa. This drink features hot cocoa with flavors of s’mores and is topped with whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs. We actually REALLY enjoyed the flavors in this drink.

Sometimes s’mores-flavored items can taste just like chocolate, but we totally picked up those subtle marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker notes in this drink. It was very yummy!

Again, like the other drink, it didn’t quite look like the photo and it seemed like the whipped cream had melted quickly, but the flavors were a hit with us. If you’re a s’mores lover looking to take that feeling of a summer night into the winter, this could be a great choice for you! If you don’t like hot drinks or you aren’t a fan of those s’mores flavors, then you might want to skip this.
