Just in case you missed the giant Christmas trees in each Disney World park, we’re here to let you know that the holidays have officially arrived!
Although we’ve loved looking at all the decorations and the new merchandise, what we’re really here for is the food! We’ve already tasted and reviewed a lot of holiday goodies around the parks, but we’re nowhere near finished yet. We just found a returning treat that has a surprising twist and an even better price tag.
If you head to the ABC Commissary in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll see a couple of holiday treats on their menu.
We’re after the Santa’s Belt Cookie, which is a Mickey-shaped chocolate cookie that’s covered in white chocolate icing and decorations. It’s available here for just $3.99. It wasn’t available on Mobile Order when we stopped by, but you can just get in line and order from the counter if you want it!
In the past, we’ve found a very similar cookie in Hollywood Studios during the festive season, but last years was $4.99. So it looks like this year’s treat got a price drop!
And that’s not all that changed. Last year’s cookie was vanilla, whereas this years is chocolate. Let’s take a look to see what we think of the change.
Overall, we have to say that we fully approve of this cookie. It’s VERY large, so you can definitely share with friends (unless you’re up to the challenge of polishing it off yourself!), and we think the simple Santa’s belt decoration is adorable.
We also think the chocolate flavor is an improvement as well. In our humble opinion, anything that can be chocolate probably should be.
So for $4, you can get a very large, very tasty holiday cookie in Hollywood Studios! Note that during the holidays there are similar cookies available in most bakery cases in Disney World, but in the past, these have been a little smaller and made with vanilla sugar cookie.
Keep following DFB, because we’ll be trying all kinds of holiday treats around the parks.
