We’re just a few days away from the reopening of Hollywood Studios!
Today, Disney held Cast Member Previews of both as-of-yet-unopened parks. We’ve been taking a look around EPCOT all day and now (thanks to a friend!), we’ve gotten a glimpse inside the preview of Hollywood Studios! Let’s check it out!
Keep in mind that this is a preview so things might change before Hollywood Studios officially opens to the public. Today, there were a good number of folks exploring Disney’s glitziest park, but still nothing like a typical day pre-closure. Wait times were averaging around 10-15 minutes with some outliers (we’re looking at you Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway!).
Speaking of Runaway Railway, the attraction is open. It’s not too surprising that it is in high demand considering it was only open for a few weeks before the parks closed down.
The queue inside Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway has been outfitted with social distancing stickers and plexiglass barriers to help protect guests as they navigate back and forth through the switchbacks.
Rise of the Resistance was using a standby queue; remember that Disney announced that it will use a Virtual Queue when the parks open to the public. The line stretched all the way out of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the attraction has seen a lot of downtimes so far today.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run didn’t have nearly as long of a line. Still, the queue is outfitted with social distancing stickers all the way outside past the Millennium Falcon.
We’ll be reporting LIVE from Hollywood Studios on Wednesday, so keep an eye on DFB for ALL of the latest updates!
