REVIEW: One Small Change Made Disneyland’s Beignets *Perfect*

Yesterday was quite the exciting day over at Disneyland Resort. We stopped by Festival of Holidays AND we went to the first Merriest Nites After Hours Event! And you know what that means?! Well, it means we tried lots of new eats!

Get a load of that GORGEOUS tree!

A few of the treats are exclusive to Merriest Nites, like the Toffee Churros, the Cookies & Cream Pretzel, and the Seasonal Beignets. We’re taking a look at those beignets now to see how they compare to the normal ones you can get in Disneyland!

During Merriest Nites, you can find Traditional Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar.

Mint Julep Bar

These are normal beignets topped with powdered sugar and a drizzle of honey. The addition of honey to these traditional beignets was *chef’s kiss*!

Traditional Beignets

The beignets were super soft and fresh, just like we like ’em. There wasn’t a crazy amount of powdered sugar piled on top (which you’ll sometimes see with more authentic beignets), but that ended up being perfect because the honey added even more sweetness to this dessert.

Not too much powdered sugar

You could really taste the honey on these beignets, so if you’re not a honey fan then you might want to steer clear. But we thought the extra flavor was delicious, and it was a subtle but fun twist on one of our favorite treats.

Simple and sweet

You can get a serving of three beignets for $5.49. And note that during the day you should be able to find Peppermint Beignets at Mint Julep Bar. Keep up with DFB today because we will review reviewing LOTS of new holiday treats! Oh, and Happy FriYAY! 😊
