PHOTOS: Grand Reopening Crowds at Hollywood Studios in Disney World

Greetings from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! The final two theme parks have officially reopened today which means all four Disney World parks are now open.

We’ll be providing you with live coverage of Disney’s Hollywood Studios throughout the day, but right now we want to take a moment to show you what the crowds look like!

Guests were making their way into Disney’s Hollywood Studios bright and early this morning! Here’s how the park looked around 9:45AM! The park was officially set to open at 10AM.

Crowds

So far, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has definitely felt the most crowded to us out of all four theme parks. This park doesn’t seem to absorb crowds as well as others. In fact, the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge off of Grand Avenue was pretty congested this morning. Once we made out way through, there was a little more room to breathe.

Crowds

The Black Spire Outpost’s marketplace is now closed off and each party now waits on a marker. Cast Members will let the next party in once another party leaves. Each store that is open in this area (up to Ronto Roasters) will only allow one party into the store at a time.

Meanwhile, a standby line outside Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities was forming.

26 guests are allowed inside Dok Ondar’s at a time which felt pretty cramped inside this tightly enclosed shop, even with social distancing markers on the ground.

And here was the line for Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run this morning. It already was up to a 55-minute wait around 11AM.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has a lot of bottlenecky spots, so at times the crowd was pinched a little more than we’d seen in other parks.

Star Wars Crowds

Hollywood Studios has had the most crowds to the visual eye compared to the other parks so far.

Wait times are longer than we have seen at the other parks so far as well. Shortly after 10AM, several attractions were already posting lengthier wait times than we’re used to seeing.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway was showing a 60-minute wait right around 10AM. Toy Story Land also longer wait times as well. Slinky Dog Dash was up to a 65-minute wait.

Around 11AM, the crowds seemed to shift around a little. Some of the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge folks dispersed into other areas of the park. Millennium Falcon had dropped down to a 25-minute wait… .

Meanwhile rides such as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror saw a big increase in wait times. Both attractions were at 50-minutes around 11AM. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway went up to a 70-minute wait.

We’ll continue to update this post throughout the day, but so far Hollywood Studios feels pretty busy. Stay tuned!
