It has been quite the FULL day with some FULL stomachs tasting our way around the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival!
We’ve been traveling around the booths in World Showcase to see what stand-outs the festival has to offer this year! The Italy booth is a returning Food & Wine Festival staple. But how do the dishes stack up this year at A Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival? Let’s take a look!
Food
The menu in Italy includes a Margherita Flatbread, Tortellini, and Cannoli, plus a wide selection of Wine and Sangria.
We started off with the Margherita, an Italian flatbread with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. We weren’t wowed by the flatbread — the cheese didn’t have much flavor and overall we would say it was a pretty average piece of pizza. If you’re looking for something super basic for a picky eater, the Margherita might do the trick. But other than that, we’d suggest saving the $7.95 (and stomach space!) for other festival eats!
Next, we tried La Classica, which is made with cheese tortellini with ricotta, provolone, fontina, parmesan, vodka sauce, and crispy bacon. The strongest flavor in this menu item is definitely the bacon! Although the bacon flavor might have stood out so much because the sauce was pretty bland in comparison. We liked the tortellini more than the Margherita, but at $8.50, we don’t know that we’d order this again!
We rounded out our stop at the Italy booth with the Cannoli Siciliani — a crisp pastry filled with sweet ricotta, chocolate, and candied orange. This wasn’t our favorite dessert of the day, but we did enjoy it! To us, it had a subtle cinnamon flavor. But we could see this one being a “love it or hate it” dessert. You can grab a cannoli for $4.95 to see which side of the fence you’re on!
There you have it, a peek at all of the food items you’ll find on the menu at the Italy booth!
So, now that we’ve had a chance to mull over our meal, we doubled-back for something refreshing to sip on!

Drinks
The Italy Booth offers one of the larger drink selections at the festival this year, including White and Red Sangrias! The Italian Red Sangria is made with Cabernet Sauvignon…
…and the Italian White Sangria is made with Prosecco!
When in Rome…one drinks Sangria! And you can’t go wrong with a sip of something refreshing on a hot Florida afternoon.
Overall
We weren’t blown away by any of the food we tasted at the Italy booth this year. Of the three options, our favorite was La Classica (the tortellini!), but we still think there’s better food throughout the festival. If one of these items sounds like your dream meal, then stop by to give it a try. But we’d say none of the Italy eats are must-dos for us! Get your fill at a different booth, and stop by Italy for one of their many beverage options if your goal is to hit up all the booths this year!
