How DVC Members Book Travel Beyond the Disney Resorts is About to Change

There has been quite a bit of news recently about Disney Vacation Club.

DVC at Hollywood Studios

At the end of this year, the blue DVC membership cards will be discontinued, we’ve gotten a look at the new Grand Floridian vacation club rooms coming to Disney World, and recently we got to hear a bit about the new DVC tower coming to the Disneyland Hotel. Now, we’ve got more DVC news members need to know about.

Recently, the Disney Vacation Club sent an email to existing members about some upcoming changes. According to the email, Disney will be making Interval International their new, exclusive exchange provider for traditional exchanges as of January 1st, 2022.

Disney’s existing exchange provider is RCI. According to a press release from Interval International shared on PR Newswire, this agreement with Interval International reinstates a relationship between that company and Disney that was initially established back in 1995.

According to Disney’s email, the new relationship with Interval International will give DVC members the ability to access a “broad range of resort experiences,” in places across the world, including Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico, and more. DVC members will have access to thousands of resorts through Interval International, including (according to Disney) a “specially curated portfolio of high-quality properties selected especially for Members.”

As the press release notes, starting January 1st, 2022, DVC members will get the ability to exchange their vacation points for stays at Interval International’s network of properties.
