Disneyland Resort guests can now use Disney Genie to purchase individual Lightning Lane access to three of the resort’s most popular attractions: WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Radiator Springs Racers, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Individual Lightning Lane purchases are separate from Disney Genie+, which grants Lightning Lane access to most attractions at the two parks for a day.

Guests may only purchase individual Lightning Lane access after they enter one of the parks. If they have a Park Hopper, they may at that time purchase individual Lightning Lane access for rides at both parks. However, you may only make two individual Lightning Lane selections in one day, so you can’t use it to skip the standby line for all three attractions.

We had a Park Pass for Disney California Adventure today and purchased access to the Lightning Lane of Radiator Springs Racers for $7. Individual Lightning Lane prices will vary day to day.

Our time slot was from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. You can only select the next available time slot, instead of searching for a time you want later in the day.

Upon making the individual Lightning Lane purchase, you will see a confirmation page and also receive a confirmation email.

We then headed to Radiator Springs Racers at about 8:15 a.m. Like with FastPass, you can enter the Lightning Lane at any time within the hour timeframe you are given.

In the Disneyland app, you will have a barcode to show Cast Members at the front of the Lightning Lane.

Once they scan your barcode, you can enter the line. We waited about five minutes before boarding the attraction, which was the same wait we observed for single riders. The stand-by wait was 45-50 minutes.

We then attempted to purchase individual Lightning Lane access for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The Disneyland app was having trouble, however.

We saw multiple error pages.

And at one point, our Disney Genie page was blank.

We were finally able to make the purchase, though. Note that because we would need to Park Hop to ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, we were automatically given a Lightning Lane pass that starts at 1:00 p.m., when Park Hopping is permitted.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was $20 today, Wednesday, December 8. No tax is added to these purchases.
