It’s been a while since we’ve checked in, but construction is continuing on the new Cast Member entrance to the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Construction workers could be seen at the crosswalk leading to the Cast Member parking lot from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort off of Seven Seas Drive. Permits for the new entrance were filed back in April.
As we passed, they were digging below street level.
The land for the entrance has been cleared, though nothing else has visibly occurred yet.
Currently, a pedestrian bridge allows Cast Members to cross from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to the parking lot. Guests are also allowed to pass this way, as it leads to the guest parking lots for the Magic Kingdom.
The new entrance is expected to replace the old entrance on Floridian Way, though it seems like there’s still quite a bit of time before that happens.
