The exterior of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is now being refurbished and will be under refurbishment until the spring of next year. We checked out the resort this morning to see what was being worked on.
First, there was construction on the road leading to the resort.
A sign outside the resort entrance warned guests about the refurbishment.
There wasn’t much going on at the front when we arrived, though we noticed these paint marks.
When we were leaving, a crew had arrived and laid down a tarp for painting.
They were working on repainting the pillars and ceiling of the porte-cochère.
Inside, the doors of these bathrooms had been painted.
Frames around the doors and windows were being fixed up with paint and putty.
There was some blue painter’s tape visible.
The tape marks where work still needs to be done.
Some boards have been replaced along this walls.
Putty has been used to fill in some of the major damaged areas.
These new boards have yet to be painted to match the rest of the wall.
When we were walking back past Shipe Shape, crew members had arrived to start work.
They set up a net fence in front of where they were working.
They were replacing boards near the ground.
