This candy penguin looks ready for some winter fun, surrounded by an ocean of blue and white cream cheese buttercream.

The red velvet cupcake is moist and delicious. It’s dense and not crumbly or dry, as we’ve experienced with some cupcakes from the refrigerated section.

The penguin is very cute, but just solid sugar, so it doesn’t add much to the whole cupcake.

There’s cream cheese in the blue and white icing, but some bites have a stronger presence of the flavor than others. The peppermint candy cane sprinkles also provide a nice crunch.

The cupcake and frosting are nice on their own, but they also complement each other well in one bite. Thankfully, it tastes very fresh, but otherwise, it’s a classic red velvet cream cheese combo.

Overall, we enjoyed this cupcake and would get it again. We’d reach for it over some of the other cupcake options we’ve tried. This cupcake is also available at Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and Riverside Mill Food Court at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
