With COVID-19 cases rapidly increasing in Florida, Universal Orlando Resort is now requiring all guests to wear face coverings indoors, regardless of their vaccination status.

With the rule going into effect today, signage notifying guests of the policy change is now in place. We’ve already spotted a collection of signs at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.

With today being the first day of the new rule, enforcement hasn’t been terribly strict yet. While a majority of guests were wearing masks, we didn’t see many Team Members asking those who weren’t to put on masks.

In addition to all indoor locations (unless actively eating or drinking), guests are also required to wear face coverings at all attractions from the time they enter the queue to when they exit the attraction.

At the Bayliner Diner, more signage has been placed, also reminding guests to “maintain social distancing.”

All guests we saw at this location were wearing masks. With higher than normal crowds at the resort for Christmas, Universal Orlando is doing what it can to hopefully mitigate the spread of the disease.
