Greetings from a very rainy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s a poncho and umbrella kind of day, so we’re ready to brave the Florida “winter” weather. Let’s check out what’s happening today.
Making our way into Islands of Adventure, we head towards Seuss Landing first. The arch at the entrance has been removed. You can take a closer look and get all the details on the missing arch in our post here.
It’s a rainy morning, but people are dressed in ponchos and making the best of it. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure didn’t require a Virtual Line today, so the line was set up towards the Lost Continent.
There was no wait for Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, so we walked right on. Early mornings and rainy days are the perfect combination for a great day in the parks if you come prepared.
The raptors must be trying to escape again. The paddock fencing looks like it could use some fresh paint already.
We’re escaping to Camp Jurassic to avoid the rain. There are lots of great places to stay dry over here.
Themed prizes are starting to show up again at the skill games in Jurassic Park. There are finally some dinosaur plush and Jurassic World pillows to win.
So quiet.
Let’s head over to Universal Studios Florida next and check out what’s happening over there.
“Sing 2” posters with Ash and Buster Moon have been added to the Universal Studios Radio Broadcast Center.
Keep your eyes open for hidden Easter eggs in the Christmas decorations around the park. This car looks familiar.
Unfortunately, the tiny jet ski is missing from the garland by the lagoon. Take a look at what this decor looked like last week.
The tiny jet ski was so cute before it disappeared.
Diagon Alley is the busiest part of the park today. If guests are going to brave the rain, they’re usually going to the Wizarding World. Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts was a 70-minute wait. Crowds are picking up a bit now that the rain has slowed down.
Thanks for following us around the parks today. We’re excited to celebrate the holidays here at the Universal Orlando Resort, so be sure to stay tuned for more updates from the parks!
