REVIEW: This Returning Disney World Snack is Worth Trekking to a Water Park

We love almost ALL Disney Food, which is why it’s in our NAME! But we’ll have to admit that we definitely have our favorites.

Snack Shack

From the Carrot Cake Cookie at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to the Kakamora Float at Magic Kingdom to the Caramel Popcorn at EPCOT, we’ve watched as some of these faves and come and gone, so we’ll always celebrate the return of a favorite (and at least most DO end up returning eventually!). And today, one of those snacks we adore has finally reappeared again! YAY!

As we previously reported, Disney World’s water park, Typhoon Lagoon, has reopened! And with it, that means MORE DISNEY WORLD food. That includes one of our must-have snacks, the Hei Hei Cone. One of the reasons we love it so much is that it looks like Hei Hei from Moana! We love that silly chicken! Just LOOK at it!

The Hei Hei Cone is back!!!

This wonderful DOLE Whip snack features a blue cone, pineapple soft serve, raspberry soft serve, sugar “eye” pieces,” and a sour candy “comb.”  We’ll just give you a spoiler now — this one is STILL a DFB fave! The raspberry and pineapple just go so well together and is still one of our favorite Dole Whip combos.

We love Hei Hei and we love this cone!

It’s also the perfect serving size — you get a good amount of Dole Whip on top of the cone, but not so much that you can’t eat it before it melts all over you. But we do have to talk about the cone. It WAS tasty, but it started getting really soft and squishy while we were eating it, so we had to speed eat the whole thing to keep from making a massive mess (#sorrynotsorry).

The eyes aren’t those gross sugar buttons you sometimes get on Disney World themed desserts like this. They weren’t sickeningly sweet and even added a nice crunch to everything. And that sour candy strip? DELICIOUS. It just adds that extra bit of tart and completes the treat.

He’s looking at us!

If you’re having a craving to try this one out for yourself, we got it at the Snack Shack for $5.29. And you’ll find some other delicious DOLE Whip creations here, too — you can even build your own tropical-flavored work of art with flavors that include mango, lime, pineapple, and raspberry. If you’re feeling extra adventurous (and you’re over the age of 21), you can make your snack boozy by adding  tequila, coconut rum, or dark rum.

We’ll be covering all the new snacks at Typhoon Lagoon, so stay tuned for more reviews!
