Hey, DFB friends! We have some unexpected news from Disney World this week.
We got some exciting new announcements from Disney World this week, as well as the reappearance of a favorite character meet-and-greet! Find out all the surprising Disney World news from this week here.
Toy Story Land Announcements
Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Roundup Rodeo BBQ, the Space 220 of Toy Story Land (get it…because of delays!), has FINALLY gotten an opening timeline. The highly anticipated table service restaurant is currently scheduled to open in 2022 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We’ve only seen concept art of the restaurant so far, but what we DO know is that it will have lots of playful details, including playsets and fan-favorite Pixar characters. We can’t wait to see it!

Jessie’s Trading Post
Jessie’s Trading Post is another new thing coming to Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios! Disney worded the announcement a little strangely, but it sounds like this will be a new gift shop!
Right now, Toy Story Land mainly has tiny kiosks for shopping, and a small store attached to Toy Story Mania, so it would make a lot of sense to add a special new store full of Toy Story merchandise!
Here’s what we know about Jessie’s Trading Post!
Olaf is Back!
Olaf has finally returned to Hollywood Studios after a LONG “vacation!” He’s located at the Celebrity Spotlight character location and he generally meets guests from 10AM to 5PM daily.
Like other characters you can currently meet in Disney World, Olaf is separated from guests, so you can get any warm hugs just yet. But you can still say hi!
Check out photos of Olaf meeting guests again here!
Fire Alarms
One unexpected thing that can happen in any Disney World space is fire alarms going off. Thankfully, this week’s unexpected fire alarm was a little…well…expected. We noticed a sign in Pop Century for a scheduled fire alarm test between 11:30AM to 2:30PM.
If you encounter a scheduled fire alarm at your Disney World hotel, there’s not really anything you need to do, but you can expect a Cast Member to stop by your room to check on whether the smoke alarm in your room is functioning.

New Strollers
New strollers debuted in Disney World this week! These bright red strollers replace the old beige strollers, and they have Minnie on one side and Mickey on the other.
You can rent a single stroller for $15 per day (or $13 per day for your total visit), and double strollers cost $31 per day (or $27 per day for your total visit). Children must be below 38 inches and 50 pounds or under to be eligible to sit in these strollers.
