No matter how many times you’ve been to Disney World, it seems there are almost always new little secrets, hidden Mickeys, and fun traditions to discover on every visit.
In fact, there are some SUPER secret things we bet you never even knew Disney does or used to do in the parks. Well, we’ll let you in on some fun information — one of these classic Magic Kingdom traditions that you might have never known about is coming back soon!
First of all, we’ve got to give a huge thanks to our friends over at AllEars.net for sharing this exciting news with us and allowing us to share it with you all. Alright, let’s get into the news!
Ever heard of the Frontierland Hoedown? Nope? Well you’re probably not alone! This is one of those surprising little happenings in Magic Kingdom that you won’t find on a map or a times guide. It’s something you’ve just got to stumble upon, and when you do — it’s MAGIC.
Basically, during the Frontierland Hoedown, Cast Members of all kinds — we’re talking Cast Members from custodial, quick service spots, and more, come out into Frontierland in their fabulous Disney costumes, music starts playing, and characters appear (just like magic!). The characters and Cast Members would then start to dance and essentially do a hoedown. It’s usually a nice chance to dance around, see some great Cast Members and characters, and just have a bit of fun!
We haven’t seen this hoedown taking place in the parks for quite some time now. But soon it’ll be BACK!
Disney has recently announced that on February 11th, guests will once again be able to enjoy the Frontierland Hoedown! You’ll want to do-si-do over to Pecos Bill’s Tall Tale Inn and Cafe to check out all of the fun. Guests will be encouraged to dance and sing along and join in on the little party.
The experience will be modified for the safety of Cast Members and guests, so just be sure to follow along with any instructions provided. From what we’ve heard, the Country Bears, Clarabelle, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and more should appear during the Hoedown! It’s a great chance to see some of those more “rare” characters and have fun!
We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more details about this entertainment offering. Check back with us for all the latest updates!
