PHOTOS: Concrete Structures Take Shape at Journey of Water Inspired by ‘Moana’ in EPCOT

Journey of Water, a new walkthrough attraction inspired by “Moana,” is being constructed in the center of EPCOT. We’re slowly watching structures appear on the construction site, which we can see from the Monorail.

Journey of Water will be part of the World Nature neighborhood. It’s being constructed on the old site of Innoventions West.

There’s a concrete walkway, where crew members sit under tents on their breaks, but where we have also noticed a square space cordoned off with orange net fencing.

More of the walkway is lined with the temporary net fencing.

Multiple concrete structures have taken shape, one of which is in the photo above.

Most of the area is flat dirt and not paved.

A concrete wall is surrounded by concrete bases.

A rectangular structure of concrete can be seen to the right in the photo above.

Many trenches have been dug for water pipes.

As we noted during our last update, there are some new piles of dirt at the construction site.

We saw some crew members down in the trenches.

Concrete has been added to the wooden structure in the ground.

It is not yet completely encased in concrete.

There is no opening window set for Journey of Water. Stay tuned to WDWNT for the latest updates on this attraction.
