The fountains outside DINOSAUR at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were turned off and some areas were blocked as the courtyard of the ride is refurbished. Aladar, the dinosaur on display in the main fountain, was looking splotchy but he has now been painted with a grey primer.
Aladar is supposed to be a blue-green color, but years of sitting in the sun and being splashed with water had created many faded areas.
The primer makes him all one color and paves the way for him to be properly repainted.
Aladar is an iguanodon and the main character of Disney’s “Dinosaur.”
His eyes are still a light green.
