Disney Forced to Fire, Then Rehire All Entertainment Cast for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Due to Inability to Reach Contract Agreements

It surely has been a rocky road leading up to the opening of Walt Disney World’s newest resort, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

After less than impressive previews of the resort leading to massive waves of cancellations, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser isn’t measuring up to avid Star Wars fans’ expectations.

Not only is Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser having trouble with hiring experienced waitstaff, there appears to be trouble with hiring entertainment Cast Members as well.

Sources tell us that initial contract negotiations for the entertainment Cast Members were never completed. Due to the inability to reach agreements by the deadline, Disney was forced to fire all entertainment Cast Members for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, then rehire them, and train them all over again. This has led to some delays and cancellations in preview cruises.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is set to open on March 1, 2022.
