This Character Looks a LOT like The Mandalorian…But His Mission is a Little Different!

With all the craziness going on in the world right now, we could use a little cheering up! In many parts of the United States, people are required to wear a mask indoors. Even Disney World has a health and safety policy that requires guests to wear a mask at all indoor locations. For their part, Disney does its best to enforce the rules in a way that is fun and friendly — you might even see a Disney friend or two donning a mask in solidarity!

Even Rizzo wears a mask!

But even outside of the Disney bubble, some people are doing their part to encourage people to wear a mask in a positive way! When we heard about a certain Star Wars-inspired character doing his part around the world, we had to share!

Let us introduce you to “the Maskalorian,” defender of germs and provider of masks. As they say in The Mandalorian… “this is the way!”

The Maskalorian was created by a man named Matt Adams, a 43-year-old filmmaker and improv performer. His mission is to distribute disposable face masks with his pal Masku (who looks a lot like The Mandalorian’s Grogu). The duo has handed out about 1,000 masks to others, according to The Washington Post.

So far, the Maskalorian has been seen all over the world, including Austria, New York City, and even airplanes. Even outside of Disney World, people are embracing the spirit of Star Wars for all sorts of causes! We’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so be sure to stay tuned for more!
