During The Walt Disney Company’s First Quarter 2022 Financial Results Conference Call, CFO Christine McCarthy spoke on how mobile dining and check-in are considered an “upside” of Disney Parks.

Mobile ordering and check-in definitely make things easier and more efficient for guests who know how to utilize this mobile technology.

But is it too efficient to the point where Disney Parks believes mobile dining and check-in can replace Cast Members at restaurants and resorts?

Disney seems to be going in the direction of utilizing mobile technology to the point where they can utilize less Cast Members wherever possible, thus earning more money.

This reminds us of when McCarthy was quoted saying that reducing food portion sizes for guests would also help increase profits.
