Disney has made some of the best love stories of all time, and these stories have inspired many people to love and dream. Disney+ has created a section on the streaming service just for Valentine’s Day, and I wanted to share the different types of movies they chose to showcase for the holiday. 

Disney+ has different movies and series separated into different categories from Animated Movies, Shorts, Live-Action Movies, and even various Disney Channel episodes. The Live-Action category has movies/shows like Aladdin, WandaVision, While You’re Sleeping, The Princess Diaries, and High School Musical. I love that they included 90 rom-coms in this section because I feel like those movies are perfect for Valentine’s Day. My go-to would be High School Musical because as a kid growing up with those movies, I always looked up to those characters and hoped to have a love as beautiful as they did. Luckily, I found a love more beautiful than High School Musical, but we love to spend our spare time watching the movies and singing along. 

The Animated Movies section has every animated movie you can think of from Beauty and the Beast, Aristocats, Hercules, Thumbelina, and Winnie the Pooh A Valentine for You. Disney animated classics are my favorite to watch, and they make my heart so happy. From this category, I would pick Beauty and the Beast to watch because our wedding was themed to that movie, but we called it Beauty and the Beauty. That movie always makes me cry, especially at the end. 

They created a section to honor the different shorts like What is Love with Forky, Lava, and Out. My favorite short ever will forever be Paperman. That short always warms my heart and the animation is gorgeous. I love the concept of paper airplanes; it’s just so cute. In high school, I wanted nothing more than to dress up like the girl from the short of Halloween. 

The Disney Channel and Disney Junior Episodes sections feature episodes that celebrate love or take place during Valentine’s Day. For example, they have a Valentine’s Day episode from Puppy Dog Pals in the Disney Junior category. Puppy Dog Pals is one of my favorite Disney Junior shows. In the Disney Channel sections, you can find episodes from Girl Meets World, Boy Meets World, Sonny With a Chance, and Recess. Growing up, I loved Boy Meets World and then fell in love with Girl Meets World when that came out a few years back. I wouldn’t mind spending my Valentine’s Day watching some Boy Meets World. 

The last section is The Simpsons category with all the different Valentine’s Day episodes. If you are a Simpsons fan, this could be such a fun way to celebrate the holiday. My wife loves The Simpsons, so I will have to show her this category so we can watch a few episodes. 

I think it’s excellent that Disney+ has a section dedicated to Valentine’s Day. It makes it easy to pick something to watch for the holiday. It is fun to celebrate love from our favorite movies and shows, which probably inspired many to love and dream.
