News: Plans for Disneyland’s New DVC Tower Have Taken a BIG Leap Forward!

Last year, we told you Disneyland was planning on building a 12-story tower next to the Disneyland Hotel for Disney Vacation Club members.

Disneyland Hotel

The new DVC Tower will feature 350-time share villas and is a separate project from the luxury hotel that was set for Downtown Disney, but ultimately canceled in 2018.

The DVC project has just been given approval by the Anaheim Planning Commission. In addition to the 350 rooms, the proposal for the new L-shaped DVC tower includes a new pool, outdoor bar, interactive play area, Community Hall, and fitness center. While existing amenities at The Disneyland Hotel such as valet services, parking, and restaurants will be available to DVC members staying at the hotel.

Plans have now been passed to the Anaheim City Council for final approval and if it’s given the go-ahead, DVC members can start looking forward to staying at the new Disneyland property which will be adjacent to the Disneyland Hotel’s Frontier Tower.

At this time, Downtown Disney has partially reopened but reopening dates for the rest of Disneyland Park Resort including the hotels and theme parks are still unknown. We’ll continue to provide you with all the latest news and updates regarding Disneyland’s status so stay tuned!
