Grilled Kebabs with Carrot-Chickpea Salad and Garlic Aïoli (Lamb Kefta, Harissa Chicken) – $5.75
The lamb has quite a kick to it. It’s a tender and well-cooked, hearty kebab.
The chicken is tender and flavorful, covered in spices. The carrot-chickpea salad is fresh. It’s served quite cold, but it didn’t hinder the meat. Both options are great.
*NEW* Mediterranean Flatbread with Za’atar, Artichokes, Olives, Mozzarella and Feta Cheese – $5.75
We really liked this! All of the vegetables tasted fresh, and there was a good amount of cheese.
The sesame seeds and crispy fire oven pizza crust added an awesome crunch.
It was awesome, and another festival winner.
*NEW* Vanilla, Rose Water and Pistachio Panna Cotta – $8.00
While we’ve enjoyed this item in years past, we found this to be a complete disappointment. They used very cheap white chocolate to cover the panna cotta this year in a rose shape, which ruins the whole thing. Many in our group likened it to Pepto Bismol or amoxicillin suspension. As for the panna cotta itself, the consistency and style is very similar to the cheesecake from Satu’li Canteen on Pandora at Animal Kingdom. We will say it has a unique flavor from the rose water. The pistachio flavor is a nice contrast, but it’s still pretty subdued in the taste department.
*NEW* Pomegranate Mimosa – $11.00
We enjoyed this. It’s mostly champagne with aromatics of pomegranate at the end.
The seeds in our drink were stuck to the bottom, but we got them after tapping the bottom a bit.
The champagne is more prominent than the juice. Still, it’s another pleasant drink option.
*NEW* 3 Daughters Pomegranate Hard Cider, St. Petersburg, FL (5.5% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
From correspondence with 3 Daughters Brewing: “Not too sweet or tart, this juicy pomegranate cider is perfect for any palette! This invigorating cider has a refreshing and clean taste that will have you feeling cool even in those hot Florida summers.”
*NEW* B. Nektar Blackberry Mint Mead, Ferndale, MI (4.0% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
B. Nektar describes their Blackberry Mint Mead as “gently sweet, and luscious blackberry balanced by a refreshingly lively mint character and understated note of honey. Medium/light body with an uplifting mouthfeel and semi-dry, mildly tannic finish.”
