Spring doesn’t technically begin until later in March, but as far as we’re concerned, OUR spring begins when the Flower & Garden Festival starts in EPCOT and floral Minnie ears debut in the parks. Disney World runs on its own schedule, after all! Now that the weather is warming up and the seasons are changing, it’s time to check out all the new and exciting things happening in the Magic Kingdom.
From big news like a celebrity appearance to little news like a new pen for sale, we’re here to share an update on what’s new! Let’s take a look at what we found in the Magic Kingdom this week!
Magic Kingdom Entertainment Updates
Disney Dreamers Academy Cavalcade
Over the weekend, from March 3rd to March 6th, the Disney Dreamers Academy event took place in the Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Disney explained that the event was designed to “broaden career awareness and create exclusive enrichment opportunities for 100 Black high school students and teens from underrepresented communities.”
Over in the Magic Kingdom, singer and actress Kelly Rowland served as the Disney Dreamers ambassador in a special cavalcade featuring students in the Disney Dreamers Academy.
There was a marching band, Mickey made an appearance, and we said hello to dozens of Disney Dreamers Academy participants!

Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Gaston’s Tavern
Normally, we like to recommend the Gaston’s Tavern Cinnamon Roll and LeFou’s Brew served at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland, but today we’re talking about a NEW menu item! Now, you can find a Ham and Provolone Sandwich for $10.99 at this little quick service location.
It’s made with ham and provolone on a pretzel bun with plain mayo, and the bun is topped with toasted swiss. It’s small, but this was a tasty little sandwich that’s great for picky eaters or sandwich-lovers. Simple, yet classic!

Main Street Confectionery
The Main Street Confectionery has St. Patrick’s day-themed treats! We found a LOT of green and white decorations on all the classic Confectionery treats, like the caramel apples, Mickey rice krispies, and marshmallows.
The Mickey-shaped rice krispie treat is made with mint M&M’s. We thought it was perfectly soft and chewy!

Joffrey’s Revive
In honor of Joffrey’s Revive’s 5th birthday, the Tomorrowland Joffrey’s kiosk offered a special Birthday Donut. It was a vanilla donut with vanilla icing, sprinkles, and chocolate pearls, but the catch is that it was only available for ONE day!
The donut was $5.99, and we thought it tasted great! Although this donut is no longer available, the good news is that Joffrey’s serves other donuts year-round.

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
TRON Update
We checked in on the TRON Lightcycle Run construction, and it looks like the canopy is getting closer to completion!
Speaking of the canopy, Disney recently shared an update on the outer canopy construction! You can watch the video here!

Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
The Emporium
Over in the Emporium, we found several new items! Disney seems to LOVE creating new 50th Anniversary merchandise. We found this new 50th Anniversary pen set in The Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.
To match, there’s also another new 50th Anniversary pen.
Both the Cinderella…
…and Frog Prince journals arrived in the Magic Kingdom! Both are $29.99.
This new Orange Bird shirt is pretty expensive at $125. Would you pull the trigger? It’s pretty cool, we must admit.
Finally, we found a cute new Minnie Mouse hat for $27.99.
Now that it’s spring, we need all the sun protection we can get!
Just How Much Will You Pay for Necessities at Disney World Gift Shops?
Frontier Trading Post
Did you hear that Disney is working on a new Muppets show for Disney+? If that news excites you as much as it excites us, you’ll probably appreciate this new Muppets magnet for $14.99.
We’ve seen this Star Wars pin set in Disneyland, but now it’s been spotted in Disney World.
This limited-release set is $59.99.
Plaza Del Sol Carib Bazaar
The Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop has a new “I be with he” tee for $24.99.
For those of you that fully embrace the sights and smells of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, we know you’ll appreciate this shirt.
Star Traders
Over in Star Traders, we found some new Stitch crases Disney plushes for $29.99.
Star Traders currently has the Pocahontas and Peter Pan-themed stuffed animals.

There’s also a new Space Mountain shirt for $24.99.
This ride always whips us around so much that we’re left with a sore neck and back; does that make us old?
Sir Mickeys
We didn’t find anything too exciting in the Sir Mickeys gift shop, but the icon herself princess Tiana is featured on this new pen for $12.99.
Someday, when characters can sign autographs again in Disney World, we know exactly what we’ll be giving to Tiana when we hand over our autograph book.
Uptown Jewelers
Finally, over at the Uptown Jewelers gift shop, the new Pixar Dooney & Bourke collection has arrived!
The collection contains a large tote bag for $298, a satchel for $298, a crossbody bag for $228, and a MagicBand for $58.

We hope you enjoyed our little visit to the Magic Kingdom! Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest Disney news.
