Disneyland Resort
- Colorful, pun-filled construction walls now block off Mickey’s Toontown as Disney prepares to reimagine it.
- Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland has a new souvenir Mickey ear hat bowl available to Magic Key Holders.
- We stopped by the Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland Park to try the new Cookies & Cream Funnel Cake.
- We stopped by the Cozy Cone Motel at Disney California Adventure to try the new Buttered Corn on the Cob and Bananas Foster Churro snacks.
- An adorable new Easter balloon has floated into Disneyland Resort, just in time for spring.
Disney Cruise Line
- When the Disney Wish cruise ship launches this summer, it will host a new stage show inspired by “The Little Mermaid.”
New Merchandise
- A new Minnie Mouse ear headband that would fit right in at the Purple Wall has arrived at Walt Disney World.
- The rainy season has arrived in Central Florida, but EPCOT has you covered with new International Flower & Garden Festival rain boots.
- New merchandise for Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has arrived, including a magnet and a light-up ornament.
- Another tee featuring the “original” Mickey Mouse is available at Disneyland Resort. We found it in the Emporium.
- Three new hats inspired by Marvel superheroes have arrived at Disneyland Resort.
- A new figure of the Bride from The Haunted Mansion has floated into Disneyland Resort.
Entertainment and Media
- The office of Governor Ron DeSantis has released a statement regarding Bob Chapek contacting them about the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
- The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) came out with a press release in response to Disney’s efforts, or lack thereof, to denounce Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
Disney+
- Lots of exciting “first looks” were released today for the upcoming “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series, including an Entertainment Weekly cover, a look at new characters, and a new trailer.
- During today’s annual meeting of shareholders, Disney released their first look at the new live-action “Pinocchio” film.
The Walt Disney Company
- At the (virtual) annual shareholders meeting today, Chief Executive Officer Bob Chapek (and the 10 other officers) was re-elected to the Board of Directors.
- Proposal 7 addressing pay equity was up for a vote during the annual shareholder meeting of The Walt Disney Company and approved.
- Disney CEO Bob Chapek addressed Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill once again, this time finally denouncing it.
- During the shareholder Question and Answer segment, a shareholder from New Mexico asked CEO Bob Chapek to bring back the Premier Annual Pass.
- During the Question and Answer portion, a shareholder asked CEO Bob Chapek about the Disney Parks projects announced before the pandemic but have since been shelved.
- Bob Chapek said that the Avengers Campus Quinjet attraction slated for Disney California Adventure was on hold until Disney has more funds for the project.
- During today’s annual shareholders’ meeting, CEO Bob Chapek once again mentioned bringing The Walt Disney Company into the world of sports betting through ESPN, in an effort to attract younger audiences and create new revenue.
- After denouncing the “Don’t Say Gay” bill that recently passed the Florida senate, Disney CEO Bob Chapek said Disney will reconsider political donations moving forward.
- Among the proposals up for a vote at this year’s annual meeting of shareholders of The Walt Disney Company was one “requesting an annual report disclosing information regarding lobbying policies and activities.”
- After denouncing Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay’ bill, Bob Chapek touted the Company’s Reimagine Tomorrow endeavor, which he says furthers the Company’s longstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- LGBTQIA+ employees of Pixar have released a statement to leadership regarding the company’s response (or lack thereof) to the “Don’t Say Gay” bill moving through Florida legislature.
