Magic Kingdom
- A Facebook user shared in the Disney Campers group that a drill team known as the “Indianettes” was not allowed to wear the headdresses included in their uniform when performing at Magic Kingdom.
- We have yet to see any trains being push-pull tested at TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom, but there’s still construction to see around the new Tomorrowland coaster.
- Big Top Souvenirs in Magic Kingdom doesn’t just have a collection of fun merchandise — it also sells fun treats like these two new rice crispy snacks.
EPCOT
- The World Celebration Guest Relations location at EPCOT (to the left after walking past Spaceship Earth) will be unavailable for a month as construction continues in the area.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- After hours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were initially extended, they have been suddenly shortened on March 31.
- Showtimes will be reduced for “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom starting April 25.
Disney Springs
- In addition to the lineup of limited-time offerings celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at Walt Disney World, Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew has brought back their Shamrock Supreme Donut.
- As part of “Celebrate HER Story,” Ashley Eckstein, the voice of Ahsoka Tano and founder of Her Universe, will be appearing at Disney Springs tomorrow for “The History of Ahsoka.”
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- We just completed our first voyage on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and have compiled a spoiler-free guide to introduce you to the paths, missions, and reputation system.
- Disney announced yesterday that Old Key West Resort would be replacing their classic conch fritters with shrimp fritters, in an effort to help support sustainable seafood initiatives. We visited Gurgling Suitcase Libations & Spirits today to try the new shrimp fritters.
- On the first night of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, dinner features “An Evening with Gaya,” with a performance by the superstar in honor of its 275th anniversary.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Disney has confirmed that H2O Glow Nights will return to Typhoon Lagoon water park soon, though an exact return date was not announced.
- WESH Orlando reports that Walt Disney World Cast Members were among more than 100 people arrested in a prostitution, human trafficking, and child predator sting.
Disneyland Resort
- Construction continues on Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland. Originally scheduled to be completed at the end of 2021, Disney has not announced a reopening date.
- We stopped by the Stage Door Café at Disneyland to try the new Strawberry Lemonade Funnel Cake.
Disney Cruise Line
- Disney Cruise Line has updated their COVID-19 protocols for sailings on the Disney Wonder that leave from Canada.
New Merchandise
- A new ear headband by BaubleBar inspired by Princess Tiana is now available at Walt Disney World.
- A new pin in the “Floating Down Main Street, U.S.A.” series featuring Donald Duck is now available at Walt Disney World.
- Some of the new “Peter Pan” merchandise from the U.K. pavilion in EPCOT has flown over to Disneyland Resort.
- The final two installments in the Stitch Crashes Disney series have landed at Disneyland.
Entertainment and Media
- “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from “Encanto” will be performed live for the first time at this year’s Oscars, airing on ABC March 27.
Disney+
- Disney+ has announced “Sketchbook,” a six-part original series about the animation process at Walt Disney Animation Studios that will premiere on April 27.
