REVIEW: We Tried a REFRESHING Churro in Disneyland (Huh?)

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone! We’re celebrating the lucky holiday by eating (duh!).

We’ve been trying a LOT of green treats lately!

There are a ton of new foods and drinks available in both Disney World and Disneyland, like special cocktails, sweet treats, and even an alarmingly green corn dog (no, seriously!). We’re trying out everything we can, so come along with us to check out another new treat over in Disneyland!

This is the new Pot of Gold Churro! It has arrived for St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown Disney.

Pot o’ Gold Churros

The new dessert is churros rolled in Key Lime pie sugar, drizzled with white chocolate sauce, dusted with gold and green sprinkles, and served with a side of whipped cream. You can get them over at California Churro for $6.99.

Let’s dive in!

Although we usually prefer the churros in Disneyland Park to the ones in Downtown Disney, we really enjoyed this holiday version! The Key Lime pie sugar was the strongest flavor, and it made this treat a little less sweet and a little more tart than most churros we’ve tried. And aren’t they just so pretty?

So pretty!

The white chocolate balanced out that tartness a little bit, and the whipped cream sweetened it as well!

Tart and delicious!

The sprinkles didn’t really add much in terms of flavor, but we liked the little crunch they brought to the party! In general, we thought these churros were very refreshing (which isn’t usually a word we use to describe churros!) because of the tart and bright flavor.
