BIG Menu Changes Made to One of EPCOT’s Newest Restaurants

Space 220 was a mysterious EPCOT restaurant that put us through YEARS of uncertainty. Okay, that might be a bit dramatic. 😉 But still! It was a project that was delayed over and over until finally opening in September 2021.

Space 220

It’s only been a few months since this spot opened but it looks like we’re already seeing some pretty substantial updates to the Space 220 menu! There are some additions, removals, and changes. Have any of your favorites left? Would any of the new items encourage you to visit this spot or even give it a second visit? Let’s check it out here!

Space 220 has a slightly different prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner, and a separate a la carte menu for the Space 220 Lounge. Today Disney made several updates to each of the Space 220 menus.

Space 220 Dining Room

In terms of lunch entrees, we noticed four new menu additions. Note that lunch costs $55 per adult and it comes with one entree and one appetizer. These are the 4 new additions we spotted:

  • ADDED: Steak Salad — Marinated Filet Tips with Iceberg Wedges, Cucumber, Cherry Tomatoes, Chives, Blue Cheese Crumble, and Horseradish Dressing
  • ADDED: Quinoa Burger — Quinoa-Vegetable Burger served with Baby Arugula, Tomato, and Yellow Beet Citrus Mayonnaise
  • ADDED: Spaceghetti & Shrimp — Sautéed Shrimp, Spaghetti, Cherry Tomatoes, Basil, Garlic Beurre Blanc
  • ADDED: Steak & Frites — Coffee Space Rub Flat Iron served with Fries, Broccolini, and Chimichurri

When it comes to side dishes, there’s one new side dish available on both the lunch and dinner menus. Note that dinner at Space 220 is $79 per adult and it comes with one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert. What side item has been added? Well it’s actually Roasted Carrots! These are priced at $10.

When it comes to dessert, the Short Cake has been added. This features a Matcha Air Cake made with Mascarpone Mousse and Strawberries.

We also noticed a Coconut Panna Cotta, made with Coconut Cream, Citrus, Lychee, Raspberries, Coconut Meringue, and Toasted Coconut, is now on the menu.

There are also two newer drinks available! Alcohol is not included in the prix fixe menu price, so you have to pay for drinks separately.

  • ADDED: Orion Old Fashion, made with Buffalo Trace, Grand Marnier, and Chocolate Bitters for $17
  • ADDED: Stratosphere Strawberry Lemonade, made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Cointreau, Thyme Simple Syrup, Strawberry, Fresh Lemon Juice for $16

The Nebula Cocktail

The Space 220 Lounge is open for lunch and dinner with an a la carte menu and reservations are required. A new item has been added to the appetizer menu at the lounge:

  • ADDED: Shrimp Cocktail, which comes with U 10 Shrimp and Classic Horseradish Cocktail Sauce for $24

There have also been some changes to a few menu items. For example, the Florida Red Snapper dinner entree was previously made with San Marzano tomato broth, fingerling potatoes, broccolini, and Sicilian tapenade. Now, it is described as being a Pan Seared Red Snapper that comes with Fennel Barigoule and Potato Stew.

The Space Greens, an appetizer served at lunch and dinner, are now made with Bibb Lettuce, Compressed Watermelon, Spiced Pecans, Apple Cider Dressing. This dish was previously made with Bibb lettuce, dried cranberries, roasted pears, spiced pecans, and apple cider dressing.

The lunch and dinner chicken entree which was previously called the Roasted Free-Range Chicken is now the Supreme Chicken Breast. Previously, the Roasted Free-Range Chicken was made with chicken roulade, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and roasted garlic thyme jus. The Supreme Chicken Breast is now made with Seared Chicken Breast, Polenta Parmesan Cake, Petite Balsamic Lentils, and Basil Oil.

The lunch entree which used to be called the Seared Tuna has been renamed to Tuna Tataki, and it now comes with Spiced Yellowfin Tuna, Avocado, Brown Rice, Edamame, Pineapple, and Radishes. It previously came with a marinated egg, but that seems to have been removed. That appears to be the only change with this dish.

The lunch entree which was previously called the Bluehouse Salmon has also been renamed to Galactic Salmon. It’s now made with Glazed Carrots, Miatake Mushrooms, Baby Bok Choy, and Ginger Beurre Blanc. It was previously made with king oyster mushrooms instead of miatake.

The X2 Duck, a dinner entree, has been replaced by a different duck dish called the Space Glazed Duck Breast, served with Fried Jasmin Rice, Asparagus, Pineapple, and Orange Hoisin Sauce. Previously, it featured a roasted and confit crescent duck, butternut squash flan, Brussels sprouts, and orange glaze.
