Paige Olson has been named chief counsel of Disney Studios Content, succeeding general counsel Steve Bardwil who is retiring at the end of this month.
Olson will lead the division’s legal affairs team and report to Alan Bergman, Disney Studios chairman, and Horacio Gutierrez, Walt Disney Company general counsel and secretary.
Olson joined Disney in 1996 and most recently served as deputy chief counsel for films from the Disney Live Action group, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight. She worked on the live-action “Aladdin,” “The Lion King,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Cruella.” She has handled legal affairs for Disney+, including the acquisition of “Hamilton,” and contributed to Disney’s Launchpad program.
