We just found a couple of NEW snacks in Disney World, and they’re both at a location that doesn’t get a whole lot of time in the spotlight. But could these tasty eats change that?
Magic Kingdom is not exactly known for its dining scene, although you can find some classic treats (like DOLE Whips) and delicious snacks (like Casey’s Corner corn dog nuggets with plastic cheese) inside this park. But when we’re looking for a mind-blowing meal, we usually head over to a nearby resort restaurant, like Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort or ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Could the new eats we found inside Magic Kingdom convince us to stay in the park instead? Let’s find out!
Today, we stopped by Pinocchio Village Haus, which is a quick-service restaurant in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland.
This spot has some pretty basic lunch options, like pizza flatbreads, breadsticks, and salads. But today there are 2 NEW menu items available!
We grabbed them both to try them out. There’s a Roasted Corn Flatbread and a Tres Leches Cake.

We thought this flatbread was delicious! It can be tough to find unique flavors in Magic Kingdom sometimes, but this snack definitely fits that bill. The cilantro mayo was very herbaceous, and it added some great flavor. The Mozzarella cheese was perfectly melted, and the queso fresco was a cool, fresh addition to balance out the heavier sauce and cheese. The roasted corn added a little bit of smokiness, but mostly you just got a burst of sweetness from each piece.
If you’re averse to spice, don’t worry too much about those peppers. They didn’t really add much heat, but they brought another great flavor to the combination! We weren’t a huge fan of the flatbread base itself, since it gets a little bit hard when it sits out for a while. If you eat this right away, though (instead of taking lots of pictures like we do), we don’t think this will be too much of a problem.
But in general, we think most guests will really enjoy this! Especially if you’re a fan of elote, we think this is made for you, because it’s basically that snack but with a bread base. If you’re looking for more traditional pizza flavors, you may need to try out one of the other flatbreads. There isn’t any marinara sauce on this one, and the toppings are really not like normal pizza toppings at all.
If you want to give it a try, the Roasted Corn Flatbread is available now for $11.99! For dessert, we tried out the new Tres Leches cake, which features Toasted Coconut and Coconut Cake. It’s basically a yellow cake with lots of tres leches sauce on the bottom, topped with whipped cream, toasted coconut, and a white chocolate “it’s a small world” decal that says “Adios.”
This cake was another hit with us! There’s a strong vanilla flavor from the cake, and the sauce tasted like vanilla and sweetened condensed milk. Surprisingly, it wasn’t too sweet, since there wasn’t any extra frosting or sugar on it. The whipped cream is plain, and the toasted coconut added some great tropical notes. The cake soaks in the sauce on the bottom, so it’s super moist!
Having tried some more authentic Tres Leches cakes in our time, we need to note that this wasn’t the perfect example of a true tres leches cake. We couldn’t really taste the other types of milk, and the sauce is only at the bottom (not soaked in). It’s also a little bit pricey for a small cake, at $6.19.
That being said, it still tasted very delicious, and we think that anyone can enjoy it, whether or not you’re familiar with the typical tres leches dessert. If you enjoy coconut and vanilla, this is a good choice!
In general, both the cake and the flatbread impressed us today! We’re glad that these options are available in Magic Kingdom, and we can definitely see ourselves coming back for seconds sometime soon.
