We have seen a lot of price increases at Disney World lately, like on food and merchandise.
But, prices are also increasing for things that go along with your Disney World vacation, like for plane tickets. Inflation has been affecting many things around the country, and Disney is no exception. Gas prices going up have also been a major issue recently, and now, they have gone up again near Disney World.
Gasoline price averages jumped up again over the weekend in Orlando, according to the Orlando Sentinel. They said the AAA Auto Club records showed that the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Orlando costs $4.14, which is 11-cents more expensive than last week.
These prices are about the same as Orange County’s average and most of Central Florida, with the exception of Brevard County, which has an average of $4.10.
The state of Florida’s average went up from $4.12 last week to $4.19 on Monday morning, according to the Sentinel. The cheapest place to get gas in the state was found along the panhandle in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties, with average prices just below $4.
National gas price averages dropped 2 cents last week due to a decrease in demand along with growth in total stocks. Analysts say the price of crude oil dropped below $100 million on Friday for the first time since February 28th. This followed President Joe Biden’s announcement of plans to release 180 million barrels of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve over six months.
