With all the exciting talk about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opening soon in EPCOT, you’re probably ready to make that park pass reservation to experience the attraction for yourself!

We don’t blame you — the new omnicoaster is one of the longest indoor roller coasters ever built and promises a thrilling storyline. But if your perfect Disney day ends with taking in the bombastic sights and sounds of Harmonious, there’s one day this summer you won’t want to head to EPCOT!

Harmonious made its debut on October 1st, 2021, as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, and has been impressing guests ever since. The nighttime spectacular takes place on World Showcase Lagoon, and features five huge, floating barges that house various LED screens, pyrotechnics, lights, lasers, and fountains.

Disney World has made changes to the park calendar through June 25th, and while we were taking a look we noticed that EPCOT was listed on the calendar as closing at 8PM on June 5th — an hour earlier than normal. You can see that Harmonious is not listed under “Fireworks & Nighttime Entertainment” for that date below. 

Typically, Disney World doesn’t share why they close earlier than normal on occasion, but we’ve seen it happen when private parties rent out the parks or Cast Member events take place. So if you are visiting the first week of June and hoping to watch Harmonious, you might want to avoid EPCOT on the evening of June 5th. If anything changes, we will be sure to let you know.
