Hey there, DFB friends! We’re here with what’s new in Magic Kingdom!
In just a few days there have been a lot of changes in Magic Kingdom! There was a very short-lived pre-parade, a selection of treats inspired by candy bars, and we can’t forget to mention the return of traditional character meet-and-greets! Read all about it here!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
We visited Main Street Confectionery to try three new candy-themed treats, including the 3 Musketeers Quesitos for $4.99. This Puerto Rican pastry twist was filled with cream cheese and drizzled with chocolate.
The Dove Chocolate Rugelach was $4.99, and it was made with buttery dough rolled in chocolate and baked.
And the Snickers Pound Cake for $5.29 was vanilla pound cake topped with caramel syrup, chocolate drizzle, crumbled nougat, and peanut pieces.
We really enjoyed all three treats, and if you’re a candy person you might want to give them a try!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
At Tomorrowland Light and Power Co., we noticed there was a wall up on the left side of the building, and all side exits were closed off from the store.
On Main Street, U.S.A., the construction walls that were placed by Plaza Ice Cream last week were moved near Casey’s Corner.
The Springtime Pre-Parade debuted over Easter weekend! It was a shortened version of the Easter Parade (hence the pre-parade name) that ran prior to the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
It ran twice per day before the Festival of Fantasy Parade on Saturday and Sunday only, and it featured unique (and rare!) characters like Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny!
Check out more photos of the Easter Pre-Parade here!
And earlier this week, the Festival of Fantasy Parade brought back couples! We saw Minnie with Mickey, Anna with Elsa, Belle with the Beast, and Cinderella with Prince Charming.
Prince Naveen and Tiana also reunited!

We spotted Celebrate Mom signs in Emporium and Star Traders for Mother’s Day.
Disney updated their transportation mask policy and a new sign was placed at First Aid, which still requires masks to be worn in First Aid regardless of vaccination status.
And mask policy signs were taken down at the Monorail entrances, as masks are now optional on all forms of Disney World transportation.
The new mask policy update applies to Disney transportation methods such as buses, the Monorail, and the Disney Skyliner, which was already mask optional.
Read more about Disney World’s updated mask policy here.
And character hugs are back! That’s right, traditional character meet-and-greets have returned to Disney World, and in Magic Kingdom you can once again hug Mickey at the Town Square Theater.
There are also Disney Princesses you can hug (and some evil stepsisters too!). Characters like Buzz and Stitch are still engaging with guests from a distance, so we’ll update the list if things change.
Here’s a full list of all the characters you can hug in Magic Kingdom!
